Hey Race Fans! Come out and join us for the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Downtown Augusta, GA on Saturday, March 17, 2012.Augusta Southern Nationals will have a "Float" and a "Boat" in the parade tomorrow. Be sure to look for us. We will have a flatbed wrecker pulling a Drag Boat.
Since our boat is in the shop getting a new design wrap, engine maintenance and is over all being prepped for the 2012 Augusta Southern Nationals race, we are greatful for Paul Rodgers for getting a boat for us to use in the parade this year.
ASN committee members are welcome to come help us get ready for and participate in the parade. You can bring chairs or blankets to sit on the back and help distribute the 7000+ bead necklaces we have to throw. You can also come early and help us decorate the boat between noon and 2:00pm. The parade starts at 2:00pm and runs about 2 hours. We will meet in the Civic Center parking lot. You have to park your car somewhere else since the parking lot is the staging area for the parade. I think we will have a great time and have plenty of room. Bring your own beverages.
